Al Ain Zoo
The park stretches over an area of 900 hectares near the foot of Mount Hafeet and allows visitors to see a wide range of animals in sheds that are very similar to their natural habitat.
In the park you will find plenty of public green areas for picnics as well as playgrounds, a cafeteria and a train to walk around in the wildlife area.
The zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals, and at least 30% of its 180 species are threatened with extinction.
Animal conservation efforts have been strengthened through partnerships with the San Diego Zoo, Miami Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
