Sheikh Zayed Mosque in the Emirate of Fujairah
Sheikh Zayed Mosque is one of the most important facades of the emirate of Fujairah, especially since it is the second largest mosque in the country after the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the largest Islamic mosque in the region. The mosque was funded by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, as part of His Highness honor, which reflects the warm hands of His Highness the President of the State and his keenness to meet the needs of all the cities and regions of the State in various fields.
The mosque is part of a distinct Islamic center. It was built at the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, to become a cultural and architectural landmark of Fujairah and associated with Sheikh Zayed.

The construction of the mosque began in June 2005 and the Ministry of Public Works commenced its construction work on May 9, 2010 under the supervision of the Municipality of Fujairah in the honor of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State of Qatar, AED 207 million of which is required for the construction of the first phase of construction and cladding for the mosque, and 30 million for the second phase, which includes interior decoration works.
