Dubai Museum
When you visit the Dubai Museum at Al Fahidi Castle, which dates back to 1787 and is the oldest building in the city,
You will find exhilarating displays of daily life in the pre-oil era of Dubai in the 1960s. This museum, which opened in 1971, features art galleries depicting old Arab houses, mosques, heritage markets, palm farms, desert and marine life.
The museum also includes a presentation on pearl diving and displays of weights, scales and sieves of pearl traders.
You can also get to know the handicrafts coming from Africa and Asia and see what was found locally through the numerous excavations dating back to the third millennium BC.
