A view of the sanded village of Sharjah
Located outside the town of Madame in the Emirate of Sharjah, a deserted village covered with sand for years.
According to local residents, the village was inhabited by the Kutbi tribe but no one is sure why they left.
The village is small with two rows of houses and a mosque on top of what was once supposed to be the main street that passes through the village.
To visit the village, located approximately 60 km from Dubai on the Dubai-Hatta road, you will need a 4x4 vehicle to reach the sand dunes.
The houses are covered with sand, and even the interior is drowned in sand dunes, where the village has been deserted for decades.
Even in the daytime, you ll find the place a lonely place, and you ll notice silence once you arrive, far from the vibrant Dubai.
