Art Gallery Laurie Shabibi was established in the year 2010 and opened its doors in early 2011 on Alserkal Street which is located within the light industrial warehouse district in Al Quoz in Dubai after relocating several famous galleries this soon became a center for contemporary art in the region We support the long-term development of the careers of young international contemporary artists with a focus on artists from the Middle East, North Africa and more recently diaspora artists within the UK We have also organized historical art exhibitions working with an older generation of artists from the MENA region by holding a regular program of exhibitions, performances, talks, publishing catalogs and participating in international art fairs within nine years We have been pioneers in developing the contemporary art scene in Dubai We will soon open an outpost in London at Cromwell Place
