Qasr al-Hosn



Al Hosn Palace is the oldest tourist destination in Abu Dhabi, as it is the oldest historic building in the emirate ever. It was the home of the ruling Al Nahyan family.

 The Qasr Al Hosn Center has a permanent exhibition that can be accessed free of charge and tells the story of Abu Dhabi and the history of its people through the oldest building in the city. Oral testimonies and stunning historical images bring life to this important edifice.



The sounds of contemporary UAE embody the history of Abu Dhabi and the transformation witnessed, as well as the role of the palace main fortress as a symbol of a vital heritage, culture and traditions of the UAE.


Palace of the fortress was built in the sixties of the eighteenth century observation tower made of coral and marine stones, which is characterized by a dominant location as it overlooks the sea, although it was later transformed into an impenetrable fortress.



With dimmable feature that is characterized by shells, gleaming walls of the fort under the sun rays to become as a distinctive sign beach welcomes arrivals tradesmen to the region.

The wood of the Crimean trees was chosen to cover the floors and ceilings thanks to its natural strength and durability.
