Excavations conducted in Mleiha since the beginning of the seventies of the last century revealed the existence of an important city with administrative buildings and large forts, and memorials and residential lanes and cemeteries where buried camels and horses along with their owners and minted local currency, it seems that the city was an important center in the Arabian Peninsula in trade It connects the countries of the Mediterranean basin with those of the Indian Ocean, as well as with Mesopotamia. The Kingdom of Maliha also found tombstones written in the southern Musnad calligraphy, as well as important Aramaic inscriptions.
